The Fitness Couple

Albert and Litiana Miller, former athletes, and national record holders are the drive, passion, and experience behind all Miller Fitness Fiji programs.

Litiana is a former national track athlete. She represented Fiji at the Pacific Games in 1999, 2003 and 2011. Litiana set a 100m record of 11.92 seconds at the 1999 Pacific Games in Guam that stood for eight years.  She was part of the 100m Relay team that set a Fijian record at the 2003 Pacific Games, the same games she received a bronze medal for both the 100m and 200mtrs.

A track athlete since primary school, and representing Fiji from high school until after the birth of her third son, Litiana takes pleasure in leading Zumba or Bootcamp sessions for her clients and followers. She takes great satisfaction and happiness from working with clients who choose to switch to a healthier, fitter lifestyle. She is always up for the challenge.

Litiana often says she was “born fit and active”. The one thing she really knows about is how to participate in sport, and build fitness. She has been working on, learning about and actively engaged in fitness from a child to an adult. “It made me who I am today. I understand the work required, the challenges and it helps me understand, motivate and influence people to a healthier, fitter, happier life”.

Albert represented Fiji in three Olympic Games (84, 88, 92) and the Commonwealth Games of 1986. He was the South Pacific Decathlon Champion for three successive Olympic Games and still holds the National Record, the South Pacific Games Record and South Pacific Best Performer in Decathlon – a feat not matched for more than 24 years! In addition to his successful decathlon career, he is also known for his 110m hurdles performance.

Following his successful athletics career, Albert became a national athletics coach and trained many champion athletes including his wife Litiana Miller (nee Waqanitoga). He also helped develop the sport of athletics in Fiji and was inducted in the Fiji Sports Hall of Fame by the Fiji Association of Sport and National Olympic Committee (FASNOC) in 2007.

Albert takes great pride in nurturing and developing young athletes to be the best they can be. He is currently a development officer with the Fiji Paralympic Association.

Their combined experiences from their various successes and fields of fitness experience have evolved into the Miller Method Programs designed to help the people of Fiji invest in their own health and wellbeing and combat Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, heart disease (and high blood pressure), respiratory failure, and cancer.

Litiana and Albert are committed to helping their valued clients tackle the lifestyle changes necessary to reduce NCD risks and lift the shadow and impact that lack of exercise, poor diet, and poor lifestyle choices has cast and improve the health outcomes of Islanders (and visitors) across the beautiful island of Fiji.
